Fields of Fish and Flowers

This blog has been neglected over the winter....but now...the sun is out!  Let the wild rumpus start.  Here is a roll of film from my latest shoot with Foxine Jay.

So. Much. Salt.

Zues had carved out a basin 282 feet below sea level, and filled it with salt.  What was his purpose for doing this?  Death Valley's Badwater Basin certainly lived up to its name....the little water that can be found there is not for drinking, unless you are a fan of instant kidney stones.

Concert for the Sun: Mel

She peers through the curtain and sneaks up to the balcony to guage the size of the audience.  There is only one member, and it's the sun.

The mountains memorize the melodies
and echo the lyrics she screams into sunsets

This is Kayla, a songwriter from Nashville, TN.  What I find very intriguing about her is that she has been traveling up and down California and working with other photographers.  She is the subject for a good amount of visual creativity, but each person with their own perspective sees her and the surroundings a bit differently.  It's truly fascinating to watch.  Please be sure to check out her links on social media:
