Sunrise Cliffs

I brought 4 new englanders with me to explore a beach that most locals don't know about right at sunrise.  Springtime wildflowers were blooming along the cliffs, and we discovered a few pathways that I did not notice until they pointed it out.  Climbing down to the beach, we were greeted by a friendly seal and a sea cub.  Here are the resulting photos taken on a Mamiya C330 using Kodak film:

Paths Crossed Processed

These are the resulting images of the mixture of characters and characters.

I organized an Instagram Meetup [an "Instameet"] with Hidden San Diego this weekend.  It also happens to be Believe In Film's "Belive in XPro" month.  "X-Pro" refers to Cross Processing....generally taking slide film, and developing it in the chemicals used for general Color Print film....the smart phone apps got it wrong.

Singles Awareness Day

This photo series is aimed to highlight the side-effect holiday known as "Singles Awareness Day'.  Although, reviewing the photos included it appears this is a celebration of the indulgence of chocolate.  ...Isn't that what being single is all about at the end of the day?  There is a range of emotions here from our Valentine Celebrant/Birthday Girl.  It is up to the viewer to interpret the emotion of these photos.

To me, Valentines Day/Singles Awareness day shouldn't be a day where you should feel bad for being single.  It should be a celebration of it.  And if you have a special somebody....it should be the only day out of the year that you let that person know you care about them....because you can only love so much....and now you have 3 months to prepare a last minute gift to let your mother know you love her.  one thing at a time!

behind the scenes note:  The reason for monochrome and color photos is because I had an unfinished roll of black and white film in my camera prior to this shoot....so I brought a second camera loaded with color....because colors.

#EVERYBODYELSIE

I am starting a new project for everytime I go out shooting with my Mamiya C330.

If taking a photo of yourself, is a Selfie.

Then taking a photo of everybody else, is an Everybodyelsie.

....Still, I want to keep it creative.  The uncoupled shutter on this camera allows me to take a second exposure, making this an everybodyelseandalsothesurroundingareasie.
